I tried to analyze why I liked Playing for Keeps as much as I did when I had serious issues with who these two protagonists were. I gave up. It just is. I will say this book could have benefitted greatly from a good editor…if the author ran a spelling and grammar check in Microsoft Word, I’d give it another 1/2 star.
So, I’ll end with this — if you’re in the mood for a dirty, sexy, what am I reading good time, pick up Playing for Keeps. If you truly cannot deal with characters who will do things that no sane person would/should do, then don’t waste your time.

The intensity of feelings that are between David and Austin made my heart pound faster. I couldn't read the story fast enough. I needed to know what happens to them. Definitely a 5 star read!
One of the best written books ever. Great story and I truly appreciate the way the author kept it classy . Easy to get in with the characters.
This might be the most possessive, obsessed hero I've ever read. David is super intense but also endearingly insecure/vulnerable. If you don't like completely over the top alpha males then this book is seriously not for you. But as for the rest of us it's fantastic in its ridiculousness. On to book two!
This is by far one of my favorite books. David Taylor is everything I look for in a book boyfriend. I loved everything about this book. It was over the top insta love with steamy sex scenes. Perfect.
Very intense romance that has you going back and forth with either cheering it on or thinking you should run for the hills but it definitely keeps you reading each page and heating you up with all the great sex scenes. Loving it definitely recommend to read. Look forward to part two.
I look for books like this but always fall short till now. I loved this one and have already bought the next book in this series. If you like your books with a lot of sex , love, not too much angst but enough to be just right. Told from female lead pov. Good length. Didn't have to wait till next one is a bonus as well. Now I'm off to read book two!
